The origins of Harvest Paris trace back to leadership conversations in a Canadian church in 2021. In the spring of that year, elders at Harvest Bible Church in Windsor, Ontario (Canada) acknowledged the growing number of Christians relocating from Canada to the United States. They began prayerfully considering the possibility of planting a church with a vertical focus somewhere in the United States to minister to this need. Over the next few months, the precise location was narrowed down to the community of Paris, Texas and Lamar County.
At the same time, Pastor Andrew Robertson and his wife, Angela were sensing God’s call to move to the United States for the purpose of ministry. Andrew was serving as one of the elders involved in those initial conversations. In time, it became clear to both him and Angela that God was indeed calling them to move their family to the Paris area.
In July, 2022, the core group began to meet in homes, starting with just 5 families. Gradually the size of the group increased. The church launched to the public on April 9th, 2023 at Heritage Hall. As the need for more space became evident, the Lord provided a permanent building for Harvest to call “home” in the Reno community. God has been so faithful, and Psalm 127 has been a constant reminder of who is ultimately building this church.
“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
